and I was crying my sad little eyes out because it was 60 degrees.
It had rained almost all week.
And I was asking God where summer was.
And He answered.
And now it’s 105 degrees.
So…maybe I should just work on enjoying where I’m at?

Spencer wanted to make brownies.
And then he thought that he should be in charge of the entire pan.
Or at least how much he got to eat versus how much everybody got to eat.
He didn’t win.
First nice day we’d had in a while was cause for a park celebration.
Working on her climbing skills…with about as much grace and dignity as a toddler can muster.
When you think you’re life is constantly a parade.
OK, this was pretty darling.
I let my kids run around barefoot at parks.
I know, judge away.
But I’m like, what’s going to happen, they step on a piece of glass?
We have broken dishes at our house all the time becuase teaching kids responsibilities is not shatter proof.
I stepped on a piece of glass at our house on a floor that gets swept once a day and vacuumed once a week.
So, honestly, I don’t think parks are any worse than our kitchen floor…I know, awesome slogan.
Anyway, Libby had a rock stuck to her foot and she was fussing about it and before I could get over there to sort it out, Bennett had it well under control.
Libby pushing herself because after 45 minutes of me swinging her, I was about done.
A stop at Harry and David for some produce.
It was a banner year for cherries.
We have three trees: Ranier, Bing, and Lapines and we got a little over 40 pounds.
Bennett falling asleep after an epic meltdown.
A nature walk.
Spencer’s kindergarten graduation, where the teacher said he had to sit in the front because he sings loudly, knows all the actions, and can remember all the words.
Elizabeth’s graduation from 6th grade.
Back to back to Spencer’s.
We basically spent the entire day at school.
Spencer’s kindergarten teacher even took Bennett for the afternoon so he didn’t have to sit through another advancement.
She probably should’ve taken Libby because she was like this.
But she did get a balloon!
And the final day of school pictures.
A nest Bryce found empty in one of our trees that didn’t make it this winter.
We went to see Cars 3 on the last day of school.
Dinner on the patio.
Water balloon baseball on Father’s Day afternoon.
Meg trying to shield herself.
After we had eaten our weight in cherries and dried two full dehydrators full, the kids sorted, weighed and bagged the rest to sell.
We sorted our Legos.
Which made me hate life for three days.
I can admit, Legos may have gotten away from me over the years…
Elizabeth and Adeline got gift cards to Barnes and Noble for getting so many reading points throughout the school year.
Then we went to Costco to pick up Bryce’s Father’s Day gift…
and the kids bought themselves lunch with their cherry money.
Splash pad and park one evening.
Spencer pushing me on the swing.
Spencer pushing Adeline on the swing.
And yet another park day.
So June is almost over!
I don’t know why I’m yelling that.
The heat makes me do things.
Katie
Great pictures...at least today was a bit cooler...
