I Heart Vintage Kirby Vacuums

so much

that if you’re like like, i’m expecting a baby

let’s troll all the antique shops for the perfect dresser

and i’m like yes

but in the first aisle i spot a green santitronic vacuum with all the fixin’s for

10$!

and i’m like i’m totally coming back for this and

we do

after deciding all the dressers are not worth our time

and we go to check out

and i’m doing an embarrassing amoung of checking to make sure this beast is worth it’s weight

and i buy it {and a vintage brown tweed coat…no dresser…}

when the cashier is like we have a red one in the back

yusss

and they pull her out and we plug her in

and nothing

but if you know junk about Kirby’s you’ll know that their cords are detachable

so we put the green cord on the red one…

and magic

so now i’m legit vacuuming this antique store with my two vintage kirby vacuums while three people are like

huh

so they give us the red one for free because they were going to trash it in the first place

i gift my friend the green

because nothing says pals like a green vacuum that i’ve convinced my friend is the vacuum to end all vacuum problems

but should not be lifted by a pregnant person or post-partum moms or baby panda bears because these beauties weigh like 50 pounds

but are literally the cadillac of the vacuum world and were bagless before bagless was a thing

so i ordered myself a new cord and now we’re in kirby business over here

so…if you see a kirby, buy it, and then send me a hand written note because i’ve changed your life…or at least the life of your carpet…or hard wood floors because if you’re lucky you will find one with a buffer attatchment.

Sponge curlers do not disappoint.

This is random, but I love how when the kids put away the cups they make sure it’s in a rainbow.

She has the best ideas for pictures.

I bought some tangerine reproduction seating off of craigslist.
