My friend came to visit.
While I was out of town.
And she and my other friend took the liberty of walking around my garden in my absence.
And gave their kids some of my peas.
They basically trespassed and stole.
However, they encouraged me to share what my garden looks like now.
So for the rest of you law abiding citizens that would like to see what my garden looks like now, here are way too many pictures:
Before
Now
Peas to right.
Tomatoes in the back.
Broccoli, carrots and onions at the bottom left.
Garden helper.
And one of our heavy pieces of machinery.
Tomatoes to the left.
Yellow crook neck squash to the right.
Corn, grapes, squash.
Flowers.
Green beans on the right.
Table grapes on the garden arbor.
Volunteer sunflowers.
My really, really, really pitiful sweet corn.
Cucumbers.
Water for the bees.
It’s my grandparents old bird bath.
Why I didn’t end up with the base I don’t know.
And loads of beets.
Which my family may or may not hate me for planting.
Pole beans.
And elsewhere on the property:
peaches,
apples,
Concord grapes,
raspberries,
and pears.

Wow....I am beyond impressed....great garden and a pretty one as well as functional. You guys just keep improving your place. Great job!
ReplyDeleteoooooo! Loveliness! You realize you have really good friends and I hope you are counting them in your blessings and well as the abundance of produce. It was so awesome seeing the Bird bath, I'd forgotten about that little piece of memory between the big pine trees. There was also something so magical about that bird bath. But the base that is a mystery...
ReplyDeleteI want to be your neighbor.
ReplyDeleteSo here's my plan.....I'm going to find a house as close to you as disturbingly possible.....And then we're going to be best of friends and you're going to help me make just as amazing of a garden in my yard(and by that I mean you can use my yard, which will hopefully be right next to yours, to expand your garden further and you will teach me to can....and in exchange I will make custom clothes for your girls and our kids can be best of friends and you know spend all day everyday running back and forth and such. Oh you have to teach me to quilt too. And Maddie, she wants to learn to quilt.
ReplyDeleteI have tomato plants. The end. they have blossoms. Hopefully those blossoms will turn into something.
I think I'm now the creepy cousin. Totally love your garden though.
Wow. That's all she could say...Wow.
ReplyDeleteSo, we're looking at jobs in Medford. Can I be your neighbor? Lounge under your grape arbor? Steal your vegetables?
ReplyDeleteBoise was super fun, but now I feel like I missed out by not driving all the way to Medford! Mark your calmed at for two years from now - I'm coming to eat fresh vegetables, collect eggs, recover a chair and eat dinner under your grape arbor. I will pull weeds and change diapers in return for your hospitality. : )
ReplyDeleteCalmed? No, let's pretend that's just Turkish for calendar!
ReplyDeleteFor the record-My kids and I did not eat any peas. Deanna was just shoving them in her face. She couldn't even talk her mouth was so full of peas. It was pretty pathetic actually. She acted like she owned the place!! I, on the other hand, would NEVER do that. I only eat your food when you have already cooked it for me, set the table, and gotten me a glass of water (I have standards you know!). I am free and clear of all stealing charges. Trespassing? Well that's another story. Not my first time either. Definitely not my last.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful
