Apparently I Documented Every Moment of Our Week

And now you get to sift through 561 photos of it.

Sometimes picture taking is awesome and other times I’m wanting to get a specific something {this is the minority} and then I end up having an intense conversation with three year old Bennett about what I need to have happen.

For instance, in these two photos I wanted to capture some dust.

Which doesn’t seem that hard.

Like, this idea was meant for the imperfect housekeeper that I am.

But you have to have sun, and dust, and a certain background to make it stand out against.

So one afternoon the sun came out for like thirty minutes, and I’m like strike while the iron is hot.

Me: Bennett, come jump on this carpet.

Me: Did you see the dust? Now try to catch it.

Me: No, you’re lunging, don’t lunge. Just hold out your hand.

Me: OK, we don’t need to lay on the floor.

Me: *Sighs* Now the dust is gone, ok, let’s hit the rug!

Me: Um, just sit and hit the rug.

Me: To the side like this.

Me: Why are we laying down again?!

Me: Libby!  Libby, come here and sit next to Bennett.

Me: Nevermind, let’s try jumping again.

Me: No, don’t jump OFF the rug, just jump on the rug.

Me: *walks over* no, just little jumps, see how there’s dust?

Me: *runs back to position* Little jumps, little jumps, LITTLE JUMPS!

Me: OK! THANK YOU! I think that’s it.

Scrolls through camera and realizes they are all worthless.

She wasn’t super hurt, in case you’re judging me for not rushing to her aid instead of photographing it.

I love this one.

He is super filthy, but almost everyday after Libby goes down for a nap we play the matching game or do a puzzle.

Sunflare has been one of the encouraged assignments from one of the Instagram accounts I follow.

The sun was out enough this week to practice, so…you’re welcome for the next 17 pictures.

Feet were the better idea.

This might be my favorite of the week. This is so indicative of their relationship, and Bennett always in the background waiting his turn.

  1. I look at these pictures of your kids playing outside and I think "that looks so fun and awesome, why don't my kids play outside" and then I remember its only 16 degrees today. I'm so done with winter. Cheers!
