with the right pectin and sugar instead of salt.
I spray painted a metal cupboard in a cute grey gingham pattern and turns out it didn’t fit in the spot I had planned.
So now it’s sitting out on my back patio waiting for it’s official second home.
The boys are heading up to grandma’s house for the week.
I’m not sorry to see them go.
I’m sure when they’re old enough to read this their little hearts will be broken.
But one of them will have also conveniently forgotten that he stayed in his room for three hours for an afternoon for his own safety.
In conclusion, I’d like to say this week might be better but, then I looked at the forecast…
and 117 degrees on Wednesday!
Pray for us.

City fountains
Meg, Spencer and Bennett thought it would be fun to play in the Halloween costumes one day.
Adeline wanted to try training her cat.
Um, Ace was not super impressed.
Sweaty haircuts on the front porch.
Sponge curlers.
I think it’s fun when the girls think they look pretty and want me to take their pictures.
I wish that was easier as an adult.
Like, hey, I look awesone, let’s snap a photo in a non-conceited but still proud of myself kind of way.
Thanks for the dress, Abby!
This was adorable.
Till it wasn’t.
Which is the point in time where I THOUGHT I was wiping off dirt from the bike seat.
Apparently poop can moonlight as dirt.
That one time Bryce bought me a metal locker!
That was awesome but also kinda looked like it housed dead bodies at one point in it’s life.
I finally got it all done.
And moved up to my room.
Where Elizabeth opened the door.
Which promptly fell off…
If you know a good welder…
Swatting flies in the laundry room.
In a diaper.
Strawberry rhubarb crisp.
Helping with dishes.
Elizabeth was gone part of this week to camp with the youth from church and Adeline rocked the big sister thing.
And my latest finds: chicken nesting boxes, an old tool box, industrial light shades, chicken feeders.
Till next time!
Katie
