So we could:
watch for whales
hunt for crabs
scavenge for seashells
fill buckets with water
build sand castles
go barefoot always
get dirty
and sunburnt
fill our pockets with rocks
and be utterly content.
This picture is my favorite.
Our jaunt through part of the Redwood National Forest on our way home.
And this guy turned four.
His mother may or may not have forgotten that she threw away the well used birthday candles and was pretty sure she’d remember to replace them in time, but obviously didn’t.
Ah well.
I’ve been reading up a lot on taking better photos and making my camera work better for me, so hopefully there will be some improvement.
Any tips are welcome.
Hope your weekend is lovely,
Katie
I can tell a huge improvement in your photography already! Loved your beach shots, You should share your links, I'm always interested in reading up on that kind of info. Happy, happy spring break!

ReplyDeleteThis was a great post! Loved all the fun beach photos!! Your family is just wonderful!! Your blog is the best-- really, I look forward to every post!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pics! I can tell you've been practicing! Looks like an incredible trip no one will forget!
ReplyDeleteThe pictures look great! And make me wish I was in Oregon instead of Turkey... The Oregon Coast is fantastic. I totally thought that was you in the first picture at first glance. How the heck did Elizabeth get so big?!? Also, that picture of Spencer jumping - it would be weird for me to have a print of that hanging up in my house, right? ; ) It's just the best. I'm totally using huge birthday candles on Caleb's birthday cake. Happy oversight for sure.
