All about...

Meg.
It was Meg's birthday, she turned 1! And the project, as you see, has a 'Meg' type theme.

So for the project, I found an apothecary jar for $10 at Target. Don't tell my dad that I shop there. Anyway, you can find an apothecary jar practically anywhere. Then I found a frog. A frog is what people used to use at the bottom of vases to hold flowers. They're almost impossible to find, so if you see one, snatch it up. I bought mine for $2, at an estate sale, of course. I also picked up some old skeleton keys at yet another estate sale. I don't even think I was charged for them. The I printed off a cute little picture of Meg on regular paper and glued it to some card stock, and there you go. My plan is to rotate the picture inside with some recent pictures of each of the girls. That will happen when the other girls start being as cute and as nice as Meg.

P.S. Meg is walking, a little bit like Frankenstein, but fun nonetheless.

  1. What a darling idea! I love it :) I don't know that I could ever find a frog here. I haven't been to an estate sell in Fairbanks yet, but I am thinking that it might be a lot like a Pocatello estate sale???

  2. Caute! I love the jar and photo combo, and I've never heard of a frog before. Way to go, crafty friend! Pass some of the skills this way! I am very conic when it comes to crafting! (conic was my encrypted word just now, I'm using it as a tribute to an earlier post of yours!)
